One <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/why-i-cant-stop-testing-openclaw-dan-course-akv3e\/\">tech security researcher<\/a> put it bluntly: \u201cYour front door is wide open\u2026 API keys and login credentials are stored as plain text files\u201d on many agent installations, and attackers can exploit hidden commands (prompt injection) to manipulate the agent into doing things users never intended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Independent security analyses of the wider ecosystem around OpenClaw and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.lse.ac.uk\/businessreview\/2026\/02\/03\/moltbook-is-social-media-for-ai-the-way-they-interact-will-surprise-you\/\">Moltbook<\/a> have identified real-world issues such as exposed API keys, prompt injection vulnerabilities, lack of sandboxing for \u201cskills,\u201d and even database breaches that allowed unauthorized access to agent sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This isn\u2019t theoretical. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/openclaw-banned-by-tech-companies-as-security-concerns-mount\/\">Meta reportedly banned OpenClaw<\/a> from workplace devices after reports of an agent deleting a researcher\u2019s inbox, and Cisco\u2019s own security team called the experience \u201can absolute nightmare\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For MSPs, this creates both risk and opportunity. Clients will want secure, managed environments for any agentic AI capability they permit on corporate networks, but get it wrong and rogue assistants could cause chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading cfs-article-heading has-x-large-font-size\" id=\"h-how-msps-can-harness-agentic-ai\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:600;line-height:1.3\">How MSPs can harness agentic AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So where does this leave MSPs and IT consultancies who want to stay ahead of the curve instead of being disrupted by it?
