2025 World Server Throwing Tour Spanish Qualifier
Records were broken. Champions emerged. Legends were born.
Bare Metal vs. Raw Power
The World Server Throwing Association (WSTA) brought the datacenter’s most intense underground sport—which has been criticized as “needlessly brutal to servers”—into the mainstream for the whole MSP and internet infrastructure community to enjoy.
The World Server Throwing Tour came to Barcelona for the Spanish Qualifier (WSTTSQ), as elite server-throwing athletes demonstrated their technique and raw power. The Women’s record was completely shattered, sending shockwaves throughout the server-throwing world and heightening the tension ahead of the Championships at CloudFest 2026.
How It Works
A selection of server-throwing athletes will show their raw power in front of a live audience of MSP GLOBAL attendees. This intense sport welcomes all genders and ability levels: the only requirement is your desire to throw a server really far.
The Server Throwing athlete must combine strength, balance, technique, breathing, focus, and the power of what is in their heart.
Each thrower has two attempts, and the furthest result is recorded. MSP GLOBAL provides prizes for the top three finishers in the Men’s and Women’s divisions, who will also get a free VIP ticket to CloudFest 2026. There they will compete against winners in other qualifiers to determine who will wear the WSTC Championship Belt!
Claim Your Place in Server-Throwing History
Did you know that “discus” was the classical Greek word for “server”? We bet you didn’t! Now you can take part in a ritual show of strength that has actually been around for thousands of years, evolving over the generations to become the intense, kinetic spectacle you’ll see at PortAventura theme park.
