Digital evolution

New data from MSP GLOBAL’s Fall 2025 State of the Industry Report reveals key shifts shaping the next phase of Managed Services.

In keeping with our mission to deliver clear, actionable insight for the international Managed Services community, MSP GLOBAL launched a quarterly survey series this year to track MSPs’ business concerns, goals, and evolving priorities. This initiative gives MSPs the benchmarking tools they need to understand—and act upon—emerging industry trends and sentiment.

The first survey, released in July 2025, established a baseline for industry confidence, growth strategies, and collaboration patterns. The latest State of the Industry Report: Fall 2025 now builds on that foundation, revealing how attitudes and priorities have shifted.

Here’s Christian Jaeger, MSP GLOBAL’s CEO, explaining why this matters; and report author, Brooke Edge, with some key takeaways:

A Stronger Together Moment for MSPs

If one theme defines this latest data set, it’s connection. MSPs across regions and scales are leaning more heavily than ever into ecosystem collaboration—recognizing that strength lies in partnership rather than isolation. The results show a notable increase in MSPs identifying “having good partnerships with other MSPs” as a primary business health factor, climbing from 23% in July to 29% in October.

This suggests a mindset shift: collaboration is moving from being a “nice to have” to a strategic priority for competitiveness and resilience. The whole MSP community is rallying around shared security, resource optimization, and collective innovation.

Security and Compliance: From Priority to Imperative

While collaboration gains ground, another trend continues to dominate: security and compliance. The number of respondents listing “meeting evolving security and compliance demands” as a top business concern almost doubled—from 27% in July to 53% in October. This mirrors the rapidly expanding regulatory and threat landscape, as clients increasingly expect their MSP partners to lead on compliance strategy, not just react to risks.

Plans to add “Compliance-as-a-Service” offerings have also risen five percentage points since summer, confirming that this area is now central to service evolution.

As Zoë Rose of Canon EMEA observed in her interview for the report, MSPs that make compliance “a proactive, integrated part of their value proposition” will be best positioned to grow trust and revenue in parallel.
