Something interesting is happening in the MSP industry.

Not a dramatic disruption, not a sudden shift in technology, but something quieter—and potentially more important.

The market is maturing.

That was the core theme of the first MSP Community Intelligence webinar, where researcher Dr. Brooke Edge and MSP GLOBAL CEO Christian Jaeger explored new insights from the latest State of the MSP Industry research.

The session brought together MSP leaders from Europe, the Americas, and APAC to examine the data, test the findings through live polling, and translate insight into action. Well over 90% of participants stayed to the end, suggesting a real appetite for knowledge sharing.

Here’s a quick taste of what you may have missed:

The MSP market is growing up

This was the first in the new series of MSP Community Intelligence webinars. Focusing on the latest industry data, Brooke and Christian looked at what the data is telling us.

Analyzing multiple MSP GLOBAL State of the Industry Reports between mid-2025 and early 2026, MSP leaders are showing a clear shift in priorities.

Providers are becoming more selective about technology investments and focusing instead on areas that drive long-term business value. Adoption of new technologies as a top business priority dropped from 36% to 28%, while areas like security, partnerships, and client understanding are rising.

The industry isn’t losing momentum. It’s gaining focus.

Here are five takeaways MSP leaders should pay attention to.

1. Security is moving to the center of MSP strategy

2. Compliance is becoming a new revenue opportunity

3. MSPs are done chasing shiny technology

4. AI is moving behind the scenes

5. Partnerships are becoming essential

The good news is that you can watch the whole session, including Christian’s offer of free beer and advice about faster horses! Grab your snacks and watch it now.

What this means for MSP businesses

Taken together, these shifts point toward a more mature MSP market.

Success will increasingly depend on expertise, specialization, and strategic collaboration—not simply the size of a technology stack.

The providers who focus on outcomes, build strong partnerships, and develop deep capabilities in areas like security and compliance will be best positioned for the years ahead.
